The Role

As the Director of Marketing & Events, you will lead a specialised team to drive our marketing strategy forward. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing significant marketing campaigns, and leading high-profile event management. You will work alongside a director-level suite of colleagues at the top of their game in product, engineering, growth, customer success, and shared services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Vision

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Craft and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that enhances Enroly's presence as a thought leader in the international student recruitment industry. Utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and adjust strategies dynamically.
  • Position Enroly as an Industry Leader: Drive the strategic narrative that positions Enroly at the forefront of the sector, leveraging our extensive market data and insights to enhance brand credibility and influence.

Impactful Event Management

  • Lead Major Industry Events: Oversee the planning and execution of significant events, including our flagship EnrolyCon, which attracts top university leaders and industry stakeholders. Ensure each event strategically enhances our brand and solidifies our market leadership.
  • Showcase Technology and Insights: Utilize events as dynamic platforms for demonstrating our innovative solutions and sharing valuable industry insights, strengthening our position as industry thought leaders.

Dynamic Team Leadership

  • Manage and Develop the Marketing Team: Lead an efficient marketing team poised for growth in the coming years, focusing on high performance and continuous professional development. Encourage a culture of innovation and responsiveness to industry changes.
  • Promote Internal Advancement: We will continue our tradition of recognising and promoting high performers, as evidenced by career progression within our company, such as our Head of Product's rapid rise from QA tester to leadership role.

Collaborative Engagement

  • Align with Senior Leadership: From day one, work closely with other executive team members, including functional area Directors and C-level, to ensure that marketing strategies fully integrate with the company’s overall business objectives and product development.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration with other departments, ensuring marketing initiatives support and enhance product, sales, and customer service goals. Ensure cohesive brand messaging and effective market positioning across all platforms and communications.

Technology and Tools Leadership

  • Guide Technological Adoption: Spearhead the adoption and integration of advanced marketing technologies and tools that support sophisticated marketing strategies and data analytics.
  • Optimise Marketing Tools: Continually assess and refine the use of CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and other digital marketing technologies to ensure they provide the maximum benefit and keep pace with industry advancements.

Talent Acquisition and Development

  • Build and Enhance the Team: Actively attract, hire, and onboard top-tier marketing talent to ensure the department is well-equipped to meet strategic goals. Focus on creating a diverse, skilled team capable of tackling current and future marketing challenges.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment (Education industry experience ideal but not required)
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing robust marketing strategies.
  • Strong background in event management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
