Role Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be a dynamic and committed team member, dedicated to expanding our presence in the UK higher education sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification: Actively seek out new business opportunities within the higher education sector, demonstrating a willingness to engage with prospective clients via any channel or medium appropriate.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our products and how they align with the needs of international student recruitment, positioning our solutions as a critical driver of innovation and efficiency for our clients.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with the marketing team to leverage leads and engagements while initiating independent efforts to generate business. Always look for innovative approaches to business development and client engagement. This ensures we stay ahead of industry trends and continue to offer cutting-edge solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their challenges and how our solutions can transform their recruitment processes, thereby living our value of ensuring experience matters.

Performance Metrics and Support:

Success in this role is quantifiable through key metrics that align with our overarching growth strategy. We measure success by focusing on:

  • Target Prospects Identified: Your ability to identify and qualify target prospects, demonstrating a profound understanding of the sector and alignment with our mission.
  • Engaged Leads: Successfully engaging leads, showcasing our value proposition effectively and moving prospects further along the sales funnel.
  • Conversion to Demo/Sales Process: The number of leads converted to a demo or initial sales process stage, reflecting the effectiveness of your engagement strategies and your capability to inspire action.
  • First Stage of Demo Process: Successfully initiating the first stage of the demo process with qualified leads, setting the stage for deeper sales conversations and potential conversions.

Achieving these goals is a collaborative effort, underpinned by the understanding that marketing support, including resources, lead generation campaigns, and content, will be readily available to assist in nurturing and converting prospects. This synergy between business development and marketing ensures you have the comprehensive tools and backing needed to excel, allowing you to concentrate on building meaningful relationships and advancing our mission to transform international student recruitment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in B2B SaaS Sales or business development, with a track record of exceeding goals and forming strong client relationships.
    Experience in the higher education sector is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with a focus on delivering results.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and innovation, with a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and exploring new ways to engage clients.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role, embracing the opportunity to meet clients where they are and deliver personalised presentations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
