The Role
Job Type: 9 month contract
Location: Remote
Reports to: Manager, Student Experience
Remuneration: £30 per hour base, or as listed in schedule 1 specifications
The Assistant Facilitator will work cooperatively with the Facilitator to guarantee exceptional student experience throughout each course. The Assistant Facilitator will work in conjunction with a developed curriculum, designed by King’s College London, in collaboration with employers and tech companies and learners to ensure their full understanding assignment brief and deliverables for three academic courses.
The Assistant Facilitator will support social learning discussions by posting and responding to comments throughout the career accelerator, via the course platform. They will guide, encourage and motivate learners through their journey and may provide 1:1 collaborative sessions to support learners through particular topics or field assignment based questions. They will work collaboratively with Facilitators to mark and provide feedback on learner projects and assessments.
The ideal candidate will hold current industry experience aligned to the subject areas, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage people across digital platforms. They will have prior experience delivering education to adult learners at professional or masters level and be an evangelist for their business and sector, as well as a recognised leader within the data industry.
The Assistant Facilitator will not only be passionate about the power of education, but interested in the future of education and work, and have a keen desire to be involved in supporting individuals to achieve the next goal in their career. Ideally, they will also have direct academic experience grading to a rubric and providing feedback to a degree or postgraduate level standard.
They will work collaboratively with the student success team to ensure learners remain engaged, and aligned to their goals, whilst progressing through the course.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing feedback on learner project submissions
- Marking learner project assignments
- Support learners in understanding assignment activities and assignment briefs through posting and responding to learner comments on a community platform
- Offer 1:1 collaborative sessions to learners to support their understanding of assignment feedback, assignment activities and, feedforward learning from marking
Key selection criteria
- Discipline experience, in-depth knowledge and skills relevant and current to product management
- Academic, facilitator or teaching experience in marking to a rubric and providing constructive, curriculum based feedback.
- A practising industry professional in roles relevant to course objectives or; previous educating experience in product management
- Demonstrable teaching and mentoring capability at professional or Masters level with a passion to develop the next generation of talent.
- Engaging communication style that drives student engagement and success
- Industry certifications where applicable
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build learner relationships, empathy and support learning outcomes
- An ability to engage and navigate communication and learning technologies
- An industry leader (desirable)
- Masters Degree educated (desirable)
