About the role:

As an early hire, you’ll be a core member of the team with direct impact in the execution of our strategy. You’ll be working in an extremely fast-paced environment. We are looking for a data engineer that setup a data warehouse strategy meets business needs. Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and other data-related infrastructure. Should also possess good communication and collaboration skills to work with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to deliver timely and valuable insights. Expect a data engineer to be an essential member of the data team, working tirelessly to make sure that the right data is available at the right time to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• More than 4 years of experience in data engineering
• More than 2 years of experience in data delivery, ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading), flows and data storage design, analysis, and programming
• Experience with Amazon RedShift and Amazon Aurora for Postgres
• Experience with an excellent understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
• Experience in one or more of the following DBMS: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL.
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills
• More than 1 year of agile experience
• Committed to deadlines, self-organized, customer oriented.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities may vary, but can include:

• Extract data from different sources and transfer it to a data storage environment.
• Design, maintain, and implement transactional and analytical data storage structures.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, consuming from multiple sources and serving multiple tenants.
• Model continuous learning by staying up to date on data systems, strategies, and best practices in Amazon Web Services and SaaS platforms.
• Develop informative, expressive, and meaningful reports that support business decision-making through provided information.
• Communicate and subsequently translate resulting outcomes into good technical and coherent data designs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
• Participate and contribute to code reviews.
• Be passionate about software testing and solving tough problems.
